till now it works fine for me.
especially the arp-send option and the "*" behind the patch name after changing something is very good.
also it seems that the editor works much better in logic.

good update!

Many thanks for the beta update.. I thought we'd been forgotten ;)
New features and bug fixes sound great. Before I update though, is it possible to downgrade if there's any catastrophic problems with the update?

Hey MikeAsh,

The update is not immediately reversible, however if you were experiencing any problems we would be able to help you out!

Let us know how you get on.

Thanks

Thanks Matt.

I've updated and it went fine. I've had a play around for 30 mins or so, I don't use the editor as I'm a hands on synth programming kind of person so I can't comment on that.

- A compressor with fixed settings has been added before the input to the modulator for the vocoder: this improves the overall sound.

The vocoder sounds so much better!! To be honest I was disappointed with the vocoder originally but now I think it sounds great. I'll definitely be using the Ultranova vocoder in future releases.

- Fixed Octave button LEDs becoming out of sync with Octave setting.
- Fixed bug preventing envelope decaying to zero in some cases.
- Fixed long release times did not allow the envelope re-trigger to work correctly.

These all seem fixed to me and were items I was looking out for.. now if only we could get display contrast I'd be a completely happy bunny.

Hey Matt,

Can you PM me the email address of where I should send bug reports to? I want to send a patch that demonstrates a problem but I don't want to post the patch on the forum.

First let me say I love the improvements. I am having a problem with a patch I'd been working on that I created from INIT. It's sort of a Thomas Dolby "One of Our Submarines" like with a portamento of 78. It used to sound very smooth. Now if I hold a note then play a not say an octave down I hear a click. I turned off all FX and still hear it so it seems like an Oscillator artifact of some sort. I'd loveto send you the patch along via email.

Ok, I fixed it but it still might be a bug.

I was at 44.1 with my audio rate. I set it to 48 and it fixed the click. Weird thing is I switched back to 44.1 and the click is gone as well. So, I think after the update some bit got set funny (technical term) and setting the rate to 48 re-wrote the field. Just a theory. Perhaps you still want my patch so you can try and reproduce for click free updates in the next round.

I'm still getting high CPU spikes during patch changes. Very annoying.

The oscillator drop-downs aren't crashing the 64-bit plugin anymore, which is nice, The VST editor is now usable for me!

I run Cubase 6 (64-bit) on Win7 with
Intel i7-950 (3.07 GHz) w/12GB ram (ASUS P6X58D-E).
2x Echo Audiofire 12 audio interfaces.
I'm not using the Ultranova's audio interface at all.

Mark Mosher,

Thanks for your contribution to the thread. We're glad you found a way around your earlier issue.

For future reference, if you go to the beta site here: http://beta.novationmusic.com/ and register, you can submit/contact our team accordingly. Most probably your best option. Same applies for bugs that you come across.

Audesi, appreciate for the feedback. I forward all of bug reports on to our team!

Thanks guys,

Why not a brick wall limiter?

Can I graphically see this compressor on the LCD or it's hidden?

I love all the updates, but as far as I can tell, there hasn't been added a toggle feature to the touch knobs. Is it possible to add? I would be extremely happy if it did get added!

I'm not currently going to try this update, as I use my synth and I don't want to risk anything, but I'm really happy to see that you are still taking care of us! :D

is there anyway to add midi interface to UN in future updates?
it would be very helpfull if it could just retransmit incoming usb midi signal to midi out...

hey mark I too find audible clicks on some patches and at random times as well. and it def. seems an audio driver or something to that extent. I'm running spdif into a ka-6 at 48khz.
is it all squared away for you? usually reseting my UN audio settings fixes it for a bit.
